Yash Raj has done it again. No fights, no bloodshed, no cops and robber theme has lead the way into a successful film.
The film takes place on the grounds of one of the most prestigious and highly respected educational institution—Gurukul. Gurukul is governed by Narayan Shankar (Amitabh Bachchan), a stubborn, stone-faced authoritarian. The three pillars of Gurukul are kept in mind at all times of both Narayan Shankar and his students—Tradition, Honor, and Discipline. Every year, all new recruits are reminded of these three pillars and not one foot should be step out of Gurukul.
The story revolves around three young guys – Vicky (Uday Chopra), Sameer (Jugal Hansraj) and Karan (Jimmy Shergill). The three are roommates who have their share of laughs, fun, and love. Love? Of all the things forbidden is falling in love. Vicky meets his own match Ishika (Shamita Shetty); Sameer realizes his love for his best friend Sanjana (Kim Sharma), and Karan with a young widow, Kiran (Preeti Jhangiani).
Come Raj Aryan (Shah Rukh Khan) a music teacher who teaches everyone to follow their hearts. The clash of the titans began between Raj Aryan and Narayan Shankar. Both are stubborn, intelligent who oppose each other’s principles. Narayan Shankar believes that love leads to weakness and pain. Raj Aryan believes the love is what makes the earth go round.
“More Baatein” is exchanged between Raj Aryan and Narayan Shankar on principals and discipline while the three Romeos will do anything to meet their Juliet.
Will Raj Aryan convince Narayan Shankar of his philosophies? Will the young lovers be able to meet their beloved outside the gates of Gurukul? Are the pillars of Gurukul forever a commandment for all future attendees to follow?
